Your Job: Lead Go Developer Amsterdam

As a Lead Go Developer Amsterdam, you will be responsible one of the Go teams and the further development of a mission critical part of their global product, which operates in over 60 countries. You will play a fundamental hands on role developing the product, offering technical leadership, introducing and upholding Go and SE practices, team planning and roadmap management, doing mentorship, ensure top notch automation practices and helping to grow the team.

This is hands on role in which you will be leading by example and get to build kick ass software yourself, while helping your team to be all they can be and grow themselves.

In this role, you’ll help shape the future of the product, guiding its evolution while ensuring it adheres to the highest standards of security and reliability.

What Is Required?

  •  7+ years of professional backend software development experience
  •  3+ recent years of professional experience with Golang
  • Professional experience leading a team of backend developers
  •  Passion for product development and high standards of software engineering
  •  Master’s level thinking in technical areas, with strong computer science fundamentals
  •  Professional experience in public cloud environments (GCP experience is a plus)
  •  Engineering mindset: testing and clean coding come naturally to you
  •  Experience with IoT or sensor data processing is a plus
  •  A completed technical Bachelor’s or Master’s degree is highly valued
  •  You take full ownership of your code, from development to running it in production
