Your Role: Medior Frontend Developer Rotterdam
As a Medior Frontend Developer, you’ll join a team of highly experienced engineers (backend/frontend/full-stack) and become a key factor in the frontend’s success! The scalable platform is relatively new and still in its early stages.
While the pipelines and frontend architecture have been designed, it’s now time to build everything from scratch using React, TypeScript, and all the modern frontend tools you can imagine.
The CTO acknowledges that today’s frontend development can be as complex and advanced as backend work. This is your opportunity to create a product environment with a great deal of freedom from the ground up.
Currently, the company is mainly active in the US, but expansion into Europe is planned for the coming years—something you’ll play a significant role in! Your frontend solutions will contribute to measurable sustainability on our planet.
Growth Opportunities
This sustainable scale-up is in a transitional phase and plans to grow significantly next year. This creates opportunities to grow in breadth (become more T-shaped) or move into leadership roles such as Tech Lead or Architect.
As a Medior, you could potentially grow quickly into a Lead or Architect role—or, if you prefer, to Principal Engineer. If you wish to broaden your skills to include backend or cloud development, this is strongly encouraged, enabling you to take on more full-stack work.
What Is Required?
- At least 4 years of experience in professional software development
- Experience with modern JavaScript fundamentals, React/Next, and TypeScript
- A T-shaped skillset and/or mindset (e.g., Java, Node.js)
- A start-up mindset and the ability to take ownership of your work, including explaining the logic behind your choices
- A completed technical Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (e.g., Computer Science, AI, Informatics) is a significant plus
- Knowledge of AI productivity tools like Copilot is a bonus
- Experience with scalable product environments is a plus
