Your role: Senior Java Developer Amsterdam
As a Senior Java Developer Amsterdam, you play a fundamental role in the further development of this startup and their cutting-edge FinTech platform. The products developed here are all non-trivial, highly distributed, high-throughput solutions that operate 24/7 without downtime. Talk about a challenge!
As a Senior Java Developer Amsterdam, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to impact the roadmap and introduce new approaches. There are many examples of engineers driving innovation within the company. As an engineer, you’re the core of the company and have the freedom to add value with your creativity.
And since this is a startup/scale-up, the codebase is new as well. You’ll be working on a new codebase without legacy! Fundamental technical principles around core software engineering, clean coding, design patterns, and TDD are highly valued here.

What is required?
- At least 5 years of professional software engineering experience
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science or a related field is a big plus

- Experience in a backend language like Java

- TDD/high-quality product mindset
- Experience with system design
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
