Your Role: Senior JVM Polyglot Software Engineer Amsterdam
As a Senior JVM Polyglot Software Engineer, you will be entrusted with complex, long-term software projects close to home. Working with emotionally intelligent, experienced teammates, you’ll address challenges that impact millions of users.
From intake and architecture to delivery and knowledge transfer, you’ll be part of every stage of the software lifecycle, improving not just systems but the engineering culture of client organizations. What is required?
- A minimum of 4 years of professional backend software engineering experience.
- Proficiency in Java, Kotlin, or Scala.
- Strong emotional intelligence and communication skills, with the ability to present and inspire.
- A polyglot mindset and the commitment to using the right tool for the job.
- A technical university degree or equivalent experience (preferred).
- Experience with unit testing, automated testing, or end-to-end testing.
- Familiarity with containerization and microservices environments.
- Experience with modern cloud environments and delivery automation (preferred).
- Knowledge of TypeScript or Go (nice to have).
- Proven experience in mentoring, leading, open-source contributions, or active involvement in software communities is a big plus.
