Your Job: Staff Go Developer – Amsterdam 

As a Staff Go Developer, you will be responsible for revamping the entire architecture of their global product, which operates in over 60 countries. Initially, 80% of your focus will be on designing and implementing this architecture. Once this phase is complete, your role will shift to a balance of 50% architecture work and 50% hands-on product development, providing technical leadership to two development teams. You will also sit on the company’s Enterprise Architecture Board. 

In this hands-on role, you’ll help shape the future of the product, guiding its evolution while ensuring it adheres to the highest standards of security and reliability. 

What Is Required? 

  • 7+ years of professional backend software development experience 
  • Extensive professional experience with Golang 
  • Expertise in Domain-Driven Design (DDD) 
  • Proven experience in revamping architecture or building systems from scratch 
  • Passion for product development and high standards of software engineering 
  • Master’s level thinking in technical areas, with strong computer science fundamentals 
  • Professional experience in public cloud environments (GCP experience is a plus) 
  • Engineering mindset: testing and clean coding come naturally to you 
  • Experience with IoT or sensor data processing is a major advantage! 
  • A completed technical Bachelor’s or Master’s degree is highly valued 
  • You take full ownership of your code, from development to running it in production
