Your role: Lead Backend Engineer Amsterdam
As a Lead Backend Engineer Amsterdam you will join a group of international, very driven and experienced software engineers. Because of the growth of the engineering-teams, one large team will separate into two agile teams. That is where you come in! Together with your team, you will be involved in designing and building their next-level multi-tenant SaaS-product completely from scratch, with already some big clients waiting to be their launching customer!
As you might notice, this is a very handson role, so you do not have to worry you will be stuck in management! You will focus on a wide range of challenges involving huge loads of data, millions of transactions and complex data visualization, with a good mix of greenfield and improvements. You and your engineering colleagues are the tech department, which sits at the heart of the company and is the main driver of innovation.
You have end to end responsibility and autonomy in advising/proposing, defining/refining requirements, backend and infrastructure development, as well as R&D. All in a state of the art cloud native environment!
What is required?
- A minimum of 7 years of professional software development experience
- Backend Engineering experience in Java or Kotlin
- You have technically led at least 2 software engineers
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes is a plus
- Experience with Cloud as AWS, GCP or Azure is a plus
- Experience with Kafka is a plus
- Experience with IaC such as Terraform is a plus
- A passion for well-engineered and clean code
- You have a strong product- and polyglot mindset
- A solid communicator
