Your Role: Backend Developer Utrecht
As a backend developer in Utrecht, you’ll have the unique opportunity to work on one of the most cutting-edge engineering challenges of today: building the infrastructure for self-driving trains in Europe. Together with your team, you will tackle numerous complex engineering problems for this platform. Think of real-time data processing, big data handling, intricate calculations, and advanced modeling challenges! In short, plenty of intellectual challenges.Everything developed here is entirely greenfield. You’ll continuously build new systems that have the potential to become the European standard for self-driving trains in the future.

What is Required?
4+ years of professional software engineering experience
Professional experience with Java, Scala, or Kotlin
Experience with Spring Boot or Docker
Experience with Microservices and/or Cloud
A strong desire to grow both technically and communicatively
A mindset that embraces test and delivery automation as part of your work
A technical BSc or MSc degree

What is Offered?
Annual salary between €76,160 and €96,160, based on expertise and added value
5% bonus (paid out consistently for the past 15 years)
A permanent contract from day one
€5,000 annual training budget + six training days + 20 knowledge-sharing sessions per year
Choice of a 36- or 40-hour contract
